Rep. Hansen Clarke – Our New Champion in Congress | Forgive Student Loan Debt to Stimulate the Economy.

I have been saying since it was suggested that the stimulous package given to the holders of student loans would have served the economy much better if it had been administered to them in the form of paying off defaulted student loans. Not only would the money end up exactly where it did, but it would allow people who could not continue their education due to financial reasons improve themselves.  With less overhead, they could spend more.  At the very least, it would allow for economy stimulation from both ends of the spectrum.

I applaud Rep. Hansen Clarke.  Forgiving student loan debt is a step farther than my suggestion, but the end result will still do wonders for our economy.
